The innovative heated garment shown here is manufactured using a new, breathable, lightweight, waterproof & windproof fabric called AirXtream®.
exo²’s vests and jackets exhibit body hugging characteristics that allow these products to be worn as “mid-layers” or as an outer garment when desired. Although exo² products are windproof and moisture resistant, you can now wear your favorite motorcycle jacket or light jacket on top of the StormRider or StormWalker with just a shirt underneath. The breathable membrane of the outer fabric keeps the moisture out and “The Heat Inside”.
The exo² vests, jacket and heated back support all provide heat to the lower back/kidney area while the StormRider Bodywarmer provides heat to four chest panels as well when direct connected to your motorcycle, ATV, etc. The StormWalker Vest and Jacket provides heated pockets as well for relief when gloves can’t be worn. We’ve got a product that is just right for you no matter what you do outdoors for work or leisure. |
Invented and developed in the United Kingdom by Robin Caird, FabRoc™ has been keeping
European customers warm for nearly two decades. After years of research and development,
Mr. Caird created this unique and innovative material that actually conducts heat itself (without
wires running throughout). This arrangement provides a more even, safe and soothing warmth
than the old technology, applied even today in similar products.
exo² executives learned of this breakthrough technology while seeking to find the absolute best
heating solution for a single product they were interested in producing. Seeing the limitless
applications and potential to heat items never before heated and to improve items heated by
outdated or unsafe technology, they found not only a tremendous technology in FabRoc™ but
even more tremendous partners in James Laing and Robin Caird of exo² UK. A rewarding
partnership was formed and all team members have worked closely together ever since to find
new solutions to an aged, old problem; People get cold. (P.S. That initial product should be ready for
distribution in mid-2008.)

Located in Bellshill, just outside Scotland's largest city of Glasgow, is the headquarters of exo² UK. Although the technology was conceived over 30 years ago by Mr. Caird, exo² began
to officially integrate the technology into the current range of products within the last decade.
Today, exo² UK is led by Managing Director James F. Laing while Mr. Caird remains actively
involved and works closely with the exo² The Heat Inside Product Design Team. Combined,
our newly formed team is seeking to revolutionize how products are heated in the home, at the
office, in the field and at play. exo² UK is a wholly owned subsidiary of Typhoon International, Ltd., a
world renowned manufacturer of wet and dry diving suits and safety equipment. |
